How it works
Hustle is in beta. Businesses and students in Strumica can already agree on a job and see the order through to the end, though no money moves through Hustle yet.
For businesses
Four steps from your profile to approved work. In the beta nothing is paid through Hustle.
Create a profile
Sign up with email or with Google and fill in your business profile. During the beta, the Hustle team can help you in person.
Order a service or post a need
Ordering a service sends a request: the student has 3 days to accept it. For work that isn’t among the services, post a need with a budget and a deadline, and accept one of the offers.
Follow the order
You and the freelancer agree on the details through messages on Hustle. Once they deliver, you approve the work or ask for revisions, as many rounds as the service offers. If you don’t answer within 7 days, the order is approved automatically.
Leave a review
After approval, each side can write one review within 14 days. It shows on the profile.
For students
Four steps from your profile to your first review. In the beta, no money is paid or paid out through Hustle.
Create a profile
You can sign up if you are 14 or older, with no parental consent. Add your skills, a bio and examples of your work. Your profile goes public once it is complete.
Post a service or apply to a need
A service has a fixed price, a delivery time and rounds of revisions. You apply to a need with a message, a price and a delivery time, up to 10 times in 7 days. If you are under 18, the team reviews your service first.
Do the work and deliver
You accept or decline a service request within 3 days, and the deadline counts from when you accept. You deliver the work with a note and files, and the business approves it or asks for revisions.
Collect reviews
After every approved order, the business can write you a review, and you can write one about them. Reviews stay on your profile.
An order with protected payment
This is a demo order: it shows how an order will look once Hustle takes payments, which is planned for after the beta. Real orders in the beta go through the steps “Accepted”, “In progress”, “Delivered” and “Approved”, with no money involved.

Where the money will be while the work is under way
Protected payment is planned for after the beta. The business will pay the full price at the start, but the money won’t go straight to the freelancer: Hustle will hold it while the work is being done. This is called a protected payment, or escrow.
The freelancer will know the money is secured before they start. The business will know the money is paid out only once it approves the work.
Hustle will keep a 10% commission on every paid-out order, included in the price of the service. The commission is planned too: in the beta Hustle charges nothing.

If the work isn’t delivered or isn’t approved
These are the planned rules for protected payment. No money moves through Hustle in the beta, so they don’t apply yet.
- If the freelancer doesn’t deliver the work by the deadline, the money will go back to the business.
- Before approving the work, the business will be able to ask for revisions, up to the number of rounds agreed in the service.
- Until the work is approved, the money stays with Hustle and is not paid out to anyone.
Who are Hustle’s freelancers?
High-school and university students in Strumica, aged 14 and over, who do design, video, social media, photography and web work. Their profiles show their skills, examples of their work, their services and reviews from approved orders.
Are the profiles on this site real?
Profiles, services and needs marked “Demo” are made-up examples, and so is the café’s order on the home page. All the others belong to real users.
Can students under 18 work on Hustle?
Yes, from age 14, and they don’t need a parent’s consent to sign up. The Hustle team reviews their services and needs before they go public, and their school isn’t shown on the profile until they turn 18.
Information for parentsHow are prices set?
The freelancer sets the price for each service, along with the delivery time and the rounds of revisions. In the beta the price is only shown: nothing is paid through Hustle.
Can I order something that isn’t among the services?
Yes. Post a need: describe what you need, your budget and when it has to be done. Students send you offers, and you accept one. An order then opens.
Post a needIs Hustle live yet?
Yes, in beta. Sign-up is open, and profiles, services, needs, messages and orders all work. Payment doesn’t yet: no money moves through Hustle in the beta, and protected payment is planned.
